Gene has his first job interview next week. We are taking a trip to Montgomery, Alabama! I am trying not to get too excited, but after the hell he went through in grad school and just trying to freaking graduate, getting a call back after only a day makes me giddy.
I should finish up with my master's in a few weeks as well. Then I'll be a stay at home mommy with a graduate degree. The idea has grown on me, even though it's not what I had planned to happen at this point in my life.
So, the plan is for Gene to get a job, get his license within two years, and then there will be much better pay and hopefully PhD school. I will take my licensing exam in May and then be a certified rehabilitation counselor. I will stay home and take care of the baby.... and hopefully as she gets a little older find ways to work and get experience. I want my PhD as well; it's been my goal for a long time. The time table is not quite what Gene and I planned originally, but God knows what we need better than we do. I know everything will work out!
