The baby was in distress today. She gave all the signs of having a really bad tummy ache. Since she hadn't pooped, the obvious solution seemed to be to get things moving, so to speak. Prunes, apple juice, tummy massage, crying, praying, cursing... nothing worked. The baby cried so hard it made me cry, too. So, I went to Walgreens and bought baby suppositories.
They were effective. The poop came out with such force that it nailed me right in the chest as I was changing her diaper. I didn't know it was possible. But the relief on her face made it all worthwhile.
Gene laughed pretty hard. He said "I'm glad it didn't get my jersey." Ass! Too bad I was wearing his Bruce Lee t-shirt. Oops!
Also, today she laughed for the first time. An actual laugh! It is the best sound ever.

Projectile poop, no way! That's probably an experience you don't ever want to have again. I always hated having to use those suppositories and inflicting pain on my own kids, but at least they work. Hopefully that awesome little laugh made up for it!
