Emeline speaks in complete sentences, when she feels the need to grace us with conversation. I think she could say a lot more, but then the poor old parents wouldn't have to work as hard! She speaks the most to a little girl who comes to visit sometimes; the other day Emeline said "Hey Josie. You look cute. What you doin'?
Feeding a toddler is a challenge. I used to feel smug because she would eat anything, including any vegetable put in front of her. Oh, how pride goeth before the fall. Some days she may want nothing but bananas. Other days it's olives and chicken. Every day it's pop tarts. Keeping the sugar to a minimum is challenging now that she is pickier. So, the tantrums seem more frequent. What, a pop tart quota? How cruel!
She does, however, frequently say "I have to potty" and she will sit upon the throne (ha ha) for a few moments. The cold toilet seat makes the visits very brief. It is a step in the right direction, though. Looks like time to invest in a potty seat. Or potty chair. The debate rages as to which is better. She is way too tiny to reach the toilet on her own, but cleaning a potty chair? Ugh.
Pictures of her birthday and of Christmas to come soon!
