Why?

Why?
What?
Who?
Where?
When?

I spend a lot of time answering questions from a certain three year old. She is pretty awesome at being three; questioning everything and pushing boundaries.

She also has new fears and quirks that make life a challenge. She is afraid of cartoons and movies. We watch them anyway, and though she is better compared to two months ago, she won't watch Disney movies without a lot of crying. She was high strung as a baby and is prone to anxiety as a toddler and preschooler. We are working with her and hoping for the best.

The new puppy is really part of the family now; it is hard to imagine life without him now. Though I do fantasize about just that every now and then.

Gene likes his new job and strives to move upward on the food chain. It is slow to move up in his field, though.

Gene's new calling as ward secretary is a big adjustment, but he is settling in a little and we are adjusting to the new responsibilities.

I'm hoping for lots of substitute teaching this school year and/or other gainful employment and am researching PhD programs. The thought of being a student again makes me queasy, but the timing is as good as it's going to get and I've got to take the plunge.
