Well, it isn't warm, but I am so ready for Spring! I've been craving fruit and vegetable soups lately. No, I am not expecting. My body is ready for different foods now that the season is changing. That didn't happen as much in Georgia, but in northern Nevada there is a drastic and prolonged difference between warm and cold weather.
Gene no longer works for the prison, and now has a job he's been desperate to have ever since he applied to it. I've been trying out substitute teaching the past month or so. It is tiring, to say the least. Emeline loves the babysitting aspect but everything else has been difficult. Her potty training and sleep habits regressed quite a bit. I am working on finding a balance. We also only have one car, so the extra commuting involved with getting Gene to work, then Emeline to the babysitter, and then to my job is a major bummer. It ends up not being a lot of extra income, but something is better than nothing. I keep applying to jobs and waiting... and waiting... and waiting.
Overall, we have more blessings than burdens and that's always a good reason to celebrate.
