Oh, well... April is a new beginning! It snowed a bit the past two weekends. But we have days of sunshine and warmth here, and soon Spring will be here all the way.
Emeline likes to eat from Gene's plate much better than her own. She also finds that eating with her hands is way, way, more fun than using utensils. Why does she go through periods of wanting to be adult-like (she was getting pretty good with a spoon and fork) only to abandon them? Whatever, stop laughing at me. There are no stupid questions, remember?
Well, at dinner I got her a spoon because her table manners strike me as a potential source of embarassment. Why not practice now in the privacy of home? She used that stupid thing to do everything with the food but eat. So, after a number of spills, drips, splatters, and dropped corn, I decided it was time for punitive action. Time to take it away.
"No way! This is my spoon. You need to learn to share."
Yeah, well... not hard to guess who won that round.

I laugh at the fact that parenting books encourage parents to start letting babies eat with utensils and begin feeding themselves at 12 months. Are you kidding? I wait until I can't persuade my kids to let me feed them myself anymore to hand over the spoon and let them have a go. Seriously, I hate cleaning up the mess. But they learn eventually! So....are you ready for more little Emelines yet? haha! (don't de-friend me!)
We are most definitely not ready. Although, we are not saying no. I have a couple of issues that make it more difficult to conceive. Still puzzles me as to how Emeline ended up here. So, uh, if and when...
